One of the aims of Art Dako is to have community involvement in creating art works. OCTEC Youth Connections groups in Cowra and Orange have been painting male mannequins which will be on display on September 14 and 15.
A visual arts exhibition organised by the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak in order to raise awareness of male-only cancers. It will be both fun and educational.
From the online Urban Dictionary - Daks Australian: to "dak" someone is to pull down their pants, usually in a crowded place to cause embarrassment. Daks being an Aussie term for trousers, a bit more formal than jeans. See also underdaks.

Prize winning artist entered into Art Dako
This pencil drawing is of Ronny Gibbs, Manly premiership player of some years ago and now western region rugby league development officer. Mark Horton the artist won the Mortimore art prize in 2009, for realist art, drawing section. The drawing can be purchased at the Art Dako exhibition in September.
